I don't think that is really a problem. We hire people to do a good job and most of the times kick-ass programmer isn't the best person for the job. At least for a smaller company we need someone who can understand business needs,

I find this really weird for the following reason. Only cost conscious developers care about running db server on the same machine as application server to keep costs low. Such people wont buy SQL Server at all for the cost related reasons

I am Indian Hindu and I find the western world's laws (which influence others) w.r.t. drugs nothing but racist and prejudiced. Of course it is none of my business how UK/US manage their own country but it is really sad to see that

I hate El Camino road. The right most lane is always far too wide which means if a bus has stopped everyone expects you to still squeeze from the limited space. If you don't they will honk. If you do there is always a possibility that

I dont understand these things much but I think encouraging employees to exercise their options as early as possible is better thing to do when the value of those stocks is dirt cheap.

There is no such thing as politics without money. It is some socialist utopia. I think companies lobbying for competing causes is better than some regulation where only scums get to lobby scumbag politicians.

It is really time for Google, Apple, Microsoft to lawyer up and lobby, threaten and arm twist politicians into kicking ass of these telecom companies. At the end of the day Data-speeds are going to be bottleneck for their profits. Google an

The problem with BOGU attitude is that eventually they get useless for their masters. As more and more communication moves to apps government wont be happy with those call logs.

I do not understand people's fascination with SWIFT. It is a great language compared to the atrocity of Objective-C but then no where close to Java. I think there are lot of iOS programmers in the wild for whom SWIFT is first language

I clicked on comments to say the exactly same thing. I will not be surprised to learn later that FBI was arm twisting media houses against Apple. I need to read Orwell's books again. They are like handbook for life in modern America.

Open Source does not really mean better and open. The role of Google as Gatekeeper remains. Android is Open source too but how many non-Google controlled Android phones do you see on market ?

Those ridiculous pricing policies are necessary to recover the cost of regulatory compliance which is seriously huge component of anything medical in USA. As a side note, I know a company in India that manufactured a state of art blood test

Honestly I would not give much important to Indian Patent Office. It can be appealed in High Court and Supreme Court which may take our lifetimes to arrive at any conclusion
