Friendly reminder that Geoffrey Knauth, not RMS, is the president of the FSF.

The FSF is the only entity I'd trust with a CLA. Considering they're the stewards of the GPL, if they went evil everything would be FUBAR anyway. So I'd say yeah, the FSF doing it is fine.

My real name is too long to comfortably use (well, at least I'm not Kamehameha III), but my usual username is loosely based on my real name and it's probably really easy to link me to my username. I don't mind people being ab

It's simple: it starts with Scheme being implemented in Prolog and then Kanren gets implemented in the Prolog Scheme. It's much less difficult than a couple of magnets and an air hockey table.

They are commutative. As to whether unification and association are the same thing... yes, kinda. Unifying two terms kinda means associating them with each other in a database. Though I will say that it would have been better to say 'u

There are multiple games stores fo PC. Next to Steam you have, e.g., GOG and Itch. How many app stores are there on iOS? And the phone app stores have every category of application, not only games. I doubt you'll find, say, Borland Tur

Having contributed to RA in the past, I have to say I found the codebase very readable and well-organised. At least the C portion, I'm not smart enough to grok CPP.

Because IBM Plex Sans JP exists I use the IBM Plex fonts. It's a whole lot easier than trying to pick fonts that work well together with a Japanese font. And IBM Plex looks fairly nice, so that helps.

I know it's about copyright 'piracy' instead of actual piracy, but the title being 'Piracy in the UK' makes me chuckle, like we've got buccaneers on Scarborough Mere.

I've been meaning to fully commit to GNU Guix one of these days, now that Plasma has fully landed. I've tried Fedora Kinoite in the past, but I can't handle Plasma without Oxygen. I know that Kinoite has some kind of a way to

Was it Bernard Shaw who wrote something to the effect of 'if I had more time I would have written a shorter letter'? Whoever it was, I think the same holds for software: creating simple software is harder than making complex softw

Being able to declare types is the reason why I switched from Scheme to Common Lisp. It's just a shame that there's basically no concept of generic types and 'satisfies' isn't quite good enough to make up for it.
