Why would Adobe pay 20$ Billion if "consumers have a choice to use other alternatives".. c'mon man.

If the company is no longer a legal entity in the country any more, I think it would be very hard to sue for it or get anything out of it.

You'd have hundreds of thousands of unused cars. But sure, replacement of sales is probable.

Makes me curious on how useful a tiny AI model based just on wikipedia would be on mobile phones. Especially if it could also cite sources.

This seems risky, Oracle Cloud shuts down VPS they deem to be "inactive", in other words, not under any load or traffic. This would fit that category.

Since you asked me, it was many years ago now (5+) - but it hurt. I lost a 16TB cluster to btrfs, the raid just failed for no apparent reason (this wasn't uncommon back then according to forums). And on ZFS it was a kernel bug where on

Same boat, while they keep shipping impressive features, I've been bitten far too many times on btrfs and zfs.

Maybe, personally I don't trust closed source apps like these for that reason. And when I do try them, it's with Little Snitch blocking outgoing connections.

Looks like they'll charge for a "Pro" version that can be used commercially. Though they'd have to confirm that, I only deducted from their ToS.

Ditto, been running Proxmox 15+ years and it's been rock solid. The only thing I miss is the kind of automatic deployment and network layers that Kubernetes has.

It's not a good idea to use an experimental OS in a business setting. Maybe when it's polished an somewhat audited. Also, it has very limited GPU/Hardware support.
