Wow, it's a long time since I saw a site without SSL. Probably want to add that, not only for avoiding the red key at the top but for performance reasons.

Not only that, but the OVH load balancer (API gateway) is enormously much cheaper at 2TB of traffic than AWS and they don't charge for the amount of requests.

Like others pointed out, this is probably the root shell of the cameras and not any system. See the partition names and ramdisk, typical for cameras.

I'm sorry but Shopify has always been focused on profit and lock-in, which is why they don't allow tools that move customers away from the platform and will stop paying resellers (all) their recurring commission if you don't

Used to be optional, so the client could require this or not. Yeah, if you take a job on Upwork, you'll never be able to do work with that freelancer off-site ever. It seems they actually enforce this too, I've read of many that&#

If the default is the downgrade, what have you lost if there's not upgrade path in the first place? nothing!

Agreed, defaults are the norm and then the advanced settings are layered. Even so, explaining and showing the differences visually or with video is possible. I don't agree with treating people as babies when it comes to tech.

This doesn't seem super-advanced? Can anyone explain what makes this so special? Looking at the contents of the package (in the ads), it seems to be PHP files and some html/css/js files.

They do NOT allow video or large files (+50MB) on the Free plan or even on the paid plans! You'll have to get an Enterprise account for that (it's no longer starting at $5K/mo, you can get custom accounts setup to match your

It has more to do with maturity and reliability. Go has mature and fast standard libraries included in the language for web-related things like http, gateway/api, proxies and above all encryption. For rust, you'll need quite a lot

Loading a KV does not take CPU time, however, loading a KV into a variable does parse the content of the KV which does consume CPU time. Which is why it takes a lot less CPU time to do streaming and even to some degree, a streaming parsing

I've also tried full-text-search in worker by pre-indexing the content, works very fast even with a JS engine - less than 5ms to make a search in 5MB of text. It runs out of CPU-time at 6MB of index though. There's someone that ma

I've also experimented with this, unfortunately the 50ms CPU time isn't enough for datasets larger than 1.5MB. And the wasm init add at least 100ms to each request even when "hot" in cache. Also, out of a cost perspectiv

You'd just have to agree to the agreement to be tracked first. Though, GDPR stipulates that if it's a legal requirement for the service to work (which is the case) then it's not required to log visitor approval.

That's an exciting read and it's hard to grasp the sheer numbers involved here, no wonder bandwidth is troublesome at these scales. Feels like this could eventually start a liberating movement for women across the country.
