If you're on Postgres, StringAgg and ArrayAgg are nice alternatives to prefetch_related to avoid building Python model instances and waste memory. I wrote a short blog post on recent optimizations we did on our Django codebase: https:

You can still have domain experts collaborate directly with engineers instead of adding a middleman in the form of a product manager. The more I work, the more I'm convinced that product management is not truly a profession but rather

Mid-level LC questions are an excellent indicator of problem-solving ability: you need to read the task, understand the requirements, write code, think of edge cases, and potentially optimize, all of this in a time-constrained environment.

I wouldn’t call this “simplified”. Personally, it’s much more valuable to have all business logic in one place, in a single language, available at a glance. The perforance gain isn’t worth the increased complexity in codebase.

We need an interface to translate our thoughts into the computer, and the keyboard and the mouse are a necessary evil for now. But if you chose a career of software development, you should strive to minimize the friction that interface intr

You probably get recovery codes you have to store somewhere. Major 2fa code apps support migration between phones, and backing up the encrypted database to the cloud.

Love the concept, not so much the execution. The "Login after customizing everything" and "Pay to remove the watermark which renders the calendar useless" are borderline dark patterns. But on the positive, it gave me an
