I'm not sure what feature you want to add to "tell the average user" in anything other than "explaining in words". In this example, pattern lets me show some explanation, in text, when the input doesn't match,

Form validation isn't too bad these days IMO. Required, pattern, email, url, numbers, dates, etc. How should a combo box behave? It's a windows control but the original behavior is barely used. Just curious what your definition i

Have you thought about integrating with Sendgrid? Eg, if I'm set up on sendgrid NOW and could just plug that in and start using the service. (I'm actually using Mailgun FWIW)

Yeah but SQLite doesn't protect against unlimited CPU use and has historically had issues where "malicious queries" cause crashes -- not OK for a browser to surface to scripts. https://www.sqlite.org/cves.html

I recently wrote a game in Svelte 4, and went through a transition from using the <script>/$ reactivity to stores. This looks MUCH nicer to deal with. Their examples seem to be missing some imports? Trying to use $state as shown

This looks great! Sounds like you track events like opens, clicks SES features.. does that mean you need a specific table in my database? What data about my users would be stored in your database, vs my database?

I'd love to see a list of heavily interactive sites that use the HTMX technique. I believe Github uses something like HTMX + ActionCable, and it shows how good that experience can be (and some limitations). But I think it's in th

QR codes have several different bit-pattern masks, which an encoder should choose between to avoid blocks or runs.. so even without altering the URL there are different outputs. [A-Z0-9] encodes a lot more efficiently than [a-zA-Z0-9] so th

I like it! Another one-liner I'm constantly adding is const wait = ms => new Promise(resolve => setTimeout(resolve, ms)) Whatever runs the main function should probably do more, like handling rejections.

Are you talking about JS the language, or the ecosystem? JS as a language isn't nearly as big as C++ or, say, Swift... I'd say Python complexity is on par or even higher than JS, in terms of core language features. There are some
