This is really handy. As I do more management (yuck) I find myself having to put together reams of commented screenshots all the time. My process for this is piecemeal - but this would definitely help. Thanks! A few suggestions: 1. HTML, Go

I think the situation is way simpler than the author contends. Smalltalk simply has poor workflow from the programmers perspective, compared to what he's used to. It may be awesome. But no one will ever know, because it's too diff

Keep me in the loop as you work on your project. I think the world has a lot to learn from array languages, and there still isn't a strong open source option. Contact info in profile.

Check out Q from Kx Systems. It uses an SQL-like dialect but is still powerful and expressive. Here are some simple example programs: http://code.kx.com/wiki/Sample_Queries

I haven't seen a great data-driven review of the different smartphone cameras and accessory lenses, but there have been some attempts. Seems like the Schneider and ALPA are best (but pricey), with Olloclip coming in as a decent cheap c

Looks like iMessage for Mac stores the messages it receives in an SQLite database. This app simply reads and queries that database. See here: https://github.com/nicola/node-imessage/blob/master/index.js..

Some pretty clear bird photos aren't working either; I guess it has to be a close up, which kind of ruins the usefulness for me. http://rideintobirdland.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Littl...

I agree. Using rich data structures that you can manipulate instantly is awesome. And usually your language will have superior query and manipulation abilities, without the mental gymnastics of adapting your algorithm to the underlying data

That's a tough question. In my case, it's just a bunch of gut-feeling leaps. It's impossible to predict in advance exactly how taxing an app can be to a system, but you do have some things you can look at analytically: estima
