Semi-related, but KOTOR and KOTOR II are my favorite games on Xbox (and probably of all time). Great job on the games. BioWare consistently releases excellent games.

That's not an argument and it adds very little to the discussion. I don't know why you're being voted up. If you disagree with his points, state your reasons.

I think 'digital native' is actually a pretty good way to classify a member of my generation - I've never not had a personal computer in my home. I would imagine this has greatly shaped the way I locate and consume information. However, wha

Probably more valuable would have been the statistic of computer use devoted to educational activities (browsing wikipedia, learning how to program, etc.). Comparing "time spent doing homework" to "time spent playing games" is silly. Ther

Unlocking A Device By Performing Gestures On An Unlock Image Maybe hindsight is just 20/20, but "slide to unlock" seems to be something pretty obvious.

I still fail to understand why the ability to memorize a bunch of facts is so valuable, or more importantly why it should be such a necessary and important skill in K-12 education. Does this have any application in the 'real world'? I would

I believe that this would only be really beneficial for a McJob-like work environment where the employees believe their work has very little importance or impact. I would imagine that working at a start-up or at Google or at some other fa

Managing software packages on Unix has always been, to put it politely, a giant pain, and most Linux distributions are built around the different ways we’ve all been trying to alleviate that pain Ubuntu (Debian) seems to do this very well

Are any Humanities Ph.Ds under the impression that they can actually do anything with their degree (besides teach)? A Ph.D in CS is not, as I understand it, a prerequisite for success in a technological field, but PG was able to make use

I would bet these students got excellent grades in math. EDIT: As in, I'm sure that during high school they got high marks in math class without actually understanding the fundamentals of what they were 'learning'.

This seems overly complicated. I just set live click and change listeners on the elements I was looking to save and incremented a change_counter each time these were triggered. if (change_counter % 5 == 0) Data.sendData();

Are these ETFs flat rates? Meaning, is the ETF the same for cancellation at a year in a half and two months in? If it is, that does seem ridiculous, but if it isn't it should be taken into consideration that a droid at retail without a two-

I think most people tend to forget that the primary purpose of school is to learn - not to get good grades. Objectively, learning C or reading Knuth is a better use of my time than doing some teacher's bullshit busy-work-so-their-class-seem

It might have gotten more votes if you had provided a link to a page with screenshots and a description of the app. I use Linux and therefore a link directly to iTunes doesn't do much for me.
