First, numerous studies have shown that combining aerobic and anaerobic exercise is less efficient than just doing anaerobic excercise. Combining the two makes the exercise worse, not better. Second, assuming you can do at least 20-30 crunc

Dave should be able to sympathize with John, given that he's deleted quite a few comments off of that page (no cussing either).

Even if Apple wanted the iPad to support flash, how could they? A working mobile flash implementation does not exist, certainly wasn't even close to existing at the time the iPad was released, and the lack of it doesn't seem to have affecte

They've been yammering about that for two years already. Maybe it just slipped his mind, as it hasn't been news for two years now.

There's no prestige or credibility at all in the title "scientist"? I believe you are suffering from tunnel vision, on top of it being that time of the month.

I don't think the author is claiming the article to be comprehensive. It's claim chowder. And I'm betting he's right too, let's check back in three years and see how it went.

Good points. I'd add that in the AppStore, consumers feel safe. You don't have to worry about viruses, malware or even that apps don't do what they say they do. Apple has removed numerous reasons for hesitation from the buying experience.

This ban has nothing to do with the user . This is the developer circumventing the AppStore reviewers, including functionality that they know for a fact isn't permitted.

The AppStore variety of crap is a million times more tasty and nutritious than the Android marketplace variety. Calling these diametrically different things the same is a service to nobody.

Right. Compare to the Android marketplace. If the AppStore is shit, what the hell is that ?

Sure. Ignoring all the other reasons to pirate something, like lack of legal alternatives or whatever, most people who pirate a song, film or whatever, don't do it for profit .

First. If the problem is as widespread as you think, how do you reconcile that with AT&T's dropped calls statistics that show that it drops less than 1% more calls than the iPhone 3GS? Second. How do you reconcile it with AnandTech's

Complying with the license to avoid breaking the law and risking a lawsuit is usually a very compelling argument for a business person. But not this one, that much is clear.

Absolutely agree. Admitting that the iPhone 4 requires a bumper would be disastrous. I expect them to offer a thirty day money back guarantee. That admits nothing but instills lots of confidence.

There is no such thing as dropped calls in Sweden — iPhone or not (mostly a US phenomenon, I think). And no, I don't usually hold it that way, I just wanted to see how/if it affected the 3GS as well.
