Climate change must be felt to be understood. Depends what you're trying to demonstrate. I think the greenhouse effect is cool. Carbon dioxide is useful, it's just not in the right place. How might we build a bunch of rooms with d

Love it! Even if it doesn't play out, the idea is it's a store of value, converting between electrons and bits and back.

Excellent! I agree -- I quit my job last year to get to work on climate, even though it wasn't "my thing". We started Impossible Labs http://impossiblelabs.io BOOKS: I like "Sustainable Energy Without the Hot

Thanks to your link, I just bought one of the testers! For $15 it will be fun to play with, and roughly compare water sources like my home waer vs X-stage filtered water at Manylabs. No biological test tho, or identification of molecules. M

Agreed - check out Opus12 for an example of point-source capture: https://www.opus-12.com Would be relevant to get Climeworks' perspective on the question of point source vs atmospheric carbon dioxide.

How long does it take for air to mix worldwide? I visited NOAA's Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii last month. It's one of the key global sites where carbon dioxide is monitored. The scientist giving the tour answered this, and I be

I like where your question is headed. Carbon dioxide removal tech must be powered by solar/wind with low emissions for this to work.

Yes! Pricing is a key step to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. An invitation for entrepreneurs hop on board. How much does a ton of carbon dioxide sell for? Can I pull it out cheaper? Reducing emissions is necessary but not suffic

I've heard good things about pledges in terms of driving behavior change, but haven't seen any data myself. What might be the goal of this project? Missed opportunity - they're not capturing email addresses of the 138 signatu

Re: air quality, my understanding is the EPA has a badass network of air quality sensors. Here's one project that maps them and the data streaming off of them (example shows a sensor in SF): http://aqicn.org/city/c

Any good tech for home water filtration or testing? Our sewage line up here in Twin Peaks (SF) broke a few weeks ago, mud in my sink. Been sketched out by my water since, interested in the latest and greatest in home water tech. 5 stage fil

Interesting...anyone have a good technical understanding of this? It sounds like theyre separating off the carbon dioxide and selling it. Plus using the carbon dioxide to improve combustion efficiencies.
