Nue’s a web framework I’m building to slice through modern web dev bloat. When a Vite/ShadCN/Tailwind button is 40% heavier than a full-blown SPA, it’s time to do things differently. We’re retooling from the ground up—web standard

I have, but seems it has evolved quite a bit in the past year when looking at their new front page. I'll probably give it a shot. But in any case, I don't like their focus in collaborative features. It brings unnecessary bloat, th

I'm (not) surprised typographic scales are non-relevant for Tailwind developers

It's because we've normalized React and tight coupling. Styling belongs to components, not in design systems. I feel the JavaScript-first engineering ecosystem needs brave new design-led companies, who see the power of modern CSS

It's worse. React killed the craft of design engineering because everything is JavaScript. CSS develoeprs are gone.

I'm a designer, so I absolutely think in terms of design systems where typography is just one part of the puzzle. There are, of course, many ways to set type — but the point was: no Tailwind engineer talks about typographic scales in t

I think this is more of a cultural issue. We've accepted that Next.js 330MB solution with 250+ dependencies is solid, but anything new (despite being smaller, simpler, faster etc..) is "framework bloat". The old, "boring

HTMX is more like "jQuery on steroids", but Nue is a frontend development framework with universal HMR support. Think Next.js but slimmer. Different tools for different needs.

There seems to be two ways to interpret Nue: 1) This is amazing, thank you for the important contribution to the web!! 2) This is high horse / funny / sad... I find this interesting. People can make up their mind from the link yo

Thank you, @meiraleal! The reception here is pretty brutal but expected, especially around CSS. Engineers consistently dismiss its power, no matter how it's presented. However, for those of us who work with design systems, the value is

I think the true legacy of React will be normalizing tight coupling, especially when combined with Tailwind. An entire generation of developers learned to bundle everything into JavaScript - content, styling, behavior, and state all living
