It's not about warranties, it's about having a stable ecosystem with some guaranteed measure of maintenance. The point is not that there's even more stable and expensive options than Microsoft. The point is that there's

People building "safety critical" systems already pay for a "secure" ecosystem. It's called Microsoft. We don't need regulations to have Microsoft exist. Do you think some random med tech startup is going to pa

I think it does this after the photo has already been stored as JPEG. I think users would expect the image be persisted the moment you capture it, so any transformations after that are better done in metadata. When the image has been saved

No. The A1000 was well over $500 last year. This is the #3 player coming out with a card that's a better deal than what the #1 player currently has to offer. I don't get why there's people trying to twist this story or come

It was a while ago. I think I needed to move the data one directory at a time to get it to move the metadata to the SSD 's. Since that still would take months I think I simply waited for the next upgrade and moved all the data to a new

21pm in The Netherlands, the sky is a clear blue down to a baby pink right now, however the app shows a black to dark red. Other people are saying it matches exactly for their location so maybe there's some sort of bug?

Oh that's terrible. I guess I'm the one that's been living in a bubble. If that's the kind of people fighting the war on our side, no wonder we lost.

No one who uses tabs would ever assume a certain tab width for visual alignment. What do you base that slanderous statement on? I've also never heard anyone argue that someone else should configure some different tab width, is there a

I wonder if you could decypher these scripts by bruteforcing decoding layers until an LLM could predict the next token. That would assume the text has a sort of logic to it that would still work in modern language, but the decyphering would

It might be but it's hard to tell because it's such a recent game. The Wind Waker might be a better example because it's now 20 years old and still renders and plays basically as if it's current gen on modern hardware.

Given the circumstances, is an 80% drop that bad? Many people were expecting Twitter to simply go bankrupt. Perhaps she's the one that saved Twitter.

That's the crux of the article. There's no good reason for this requirement, at least none that arise in the article, so the author concludes it must be a mistake. I think it's a bit cynical that it would cost at least 4 year

Back when I last used C#, which admittedly is over 10 years ago, .csproj files were written in XML so they were annoying to edit. It was difficult to understand the structure of them, and I'm not sure if they were documented very well.
