In every failed relationship there are two sides. Maybe one is entirely at fault, maybe the other, maybe both share blame of maybe there's just a basic incompatibility. This is true for work just like it is for marriage. In each case

This is a good article and it does a nice job of explaining some of the problems at Google. Of course, much of them are overstated and others overfit to the particular group this person was hired into. As someone who has first-hand kno

The thing with heat pumps is that they don't create heat, they pump it. So they are "more than 100% efficient" (meaning: they move more heat than what the equivalent energy is).

FWIW, I tried to read that book. It really didn't connect with me. Probably because I don't understand where it's going. Does anyone have a good pointer to a different tutorial that tries to teach type-driven development?

I have no idea if it is the end of the Big Bang Theory, but I think it would be super fun if it is: * It doesn't have a negative effect on anything if it turns out to be wrong (other than some theses). * It would be pretty cool to get

Quite honestly, I love what MS has done with JavsScript with Typescript. It would be great if they could do the same for C. I guess the hard part will be the fact that all your dependent libraries will (likely) still be unsafe.

I had been using z-lib as a way of "format shifting" some of my books. I live in a small apartment. My books take up too much space. For some, I've found the PDF on z-lib and thrown out the hardcopy. I don't think tha

Funnily enough, I can't guess what generation you are in based on this comment. I'd argue it's pretty bad -- but not the end of the world -- for everyone from Zoomers to Gen X.
