I tried Spotify for a bit (after using Rdio a ton) and just couldn't get into it. The Rdio iPhone app is worlds better than Spotify and that's what I use mostly.

As a current paying Rdio user, I'm tempted to stop paying, use the free plan, and see if I listen to enough music a month to pay. Why not?

Maybe I'm the exception but I never have trouble writing posts in WordPress.

I can't understand why anybody would want to go through all this trouble when you can use something as simple as WordPress and post with ease. Then again, a lot of people can't understand why I create dancing Christmas lights every year, he

Very true. I suppose the knowledge gained from writing about the companies can be as useful as the knowledge gained having run his own company.

Good point. Definitely makes more sense after some of the points folks have brought up here.

I love MGs writing and from what I know of him (admittedly just online through TechCrunch), he seems like a cool guy. But I'm failing to see how being a (great) writer translates into being a VC?

You're assuming we're all in it for the money. Some are. Some aren't.

"If every shop clerk, Starbucks barista, bus driver, electrician or other professional realized that there must be a better way of working, what would happen?" That point comes up often, and personally, I think it works itself out. There w

I'll never understand why people pay so much money for jeans with holes in them, when you could simply just rip the holes yourselves. But I won't hesitate to pay a bit more for a quality Apple product. Some things just don't make sense. :)

My larger point is these "companies" appear to have no interest in making money. I'm not suggesting you need to be making money every single minute of your company's existence. Instead, I'm suggesting that you should be interested in (and

This celebration of "businesses" who make no money (and show no interest in making money) has to stop. It's one thing if we call them what they are - neat little side projects. But if we're to believe these companies are businesses that ma

I'm definitely not condoning purposely launching with a boatload of bugs. Instead, I'm just complimenting the OP on launching knowing that it's not 100% perfect yet and welcoming any positive or negative feedback.

I agree that there is a sweet spot between "too early" and "waiting too long" to launch. But I think people naturally tend to wait too long, constantly "perfecting" the design, the features, the code, etc, as if to almost ensure they always

Is that really what Groupon's site looked like in 2010? That looks more like the site pictured in the Internet Archive is just missing the correct CSS files.

Props to you for launching, knowing it's not ready yet and there will be pissed off people because of the bugs. That's a scary thing to do, no matter how easy it is for us all to say we would do it too. More people need to do this. Like y

With telecommuting, amount of time worked != amount of work completed. Chances are, that hour they're actually working at home is getting the equivalent of 8 hours of traditional work-in-an-office work done.
