I think these changes make it pretty clear why Twitter needs to control 100% of the way their content is displayed and why they're killing off any apps that won't do that. I can't help but think this is also a blatant attempt to copy some e

"...our team has moved on to other projects" That's the part that gets me. I've seen this many times in other startup shutdown posts. They say it so casually. Like this is just another extracurricular activity they do after school. If th

Why have you told us nothing at all about your business? I'm confused how little to no information is going to help you find a great cofounder.

Why do you wear a helmet when you're biking? So you don't break your head. If you find it hard to believe that anybody could drop an iPhone without a case and break it, you haven't met my wife. :)

I agree with you. But we're wrong. We're just saying this because in our eyes, these "problems" aren't worth solving. We're not interested in them. matchist (matchist.com), my current venture, wants to help freelance developers cut out al

Next time you're down here, gimme a shout. Would love to meet up for coffee and help you get the lay of the land. Also, if you happen to be in town during any of our Entrepreneurs Unpluggd ( http://entrepreneursunpluggd.com ) events, that'

I started back in the day with MySpace, then Craigslist. Over time, I built up word of mouth referrals and also did freelance work for a bunch of agencies/companies for a period of time, sometimes finding them through (crappy) recruiters.

I'm assuming your individual private office suggestion has little to no windows, and therefore little to no natural light. Frankly, that would suck, and make me less productive than even a single window.

I agree with both you, and the poster above you. But I still wonder, how is Grooveshark still online legally? They let people upload their music and other people listen to it. It's basically Napster in 2012.

"Getting funding" does not have to be traditional venture capital funding. There are other creative ways that many bootstrapped entrepreneurs have used over the years.

The link you provided provides no explanation for why Facebook would be storing a previously used password of mine (which is quite a few characters different than my current one).

"merely a successful small business." Really? That small business is financially more successful than most crazy ass VC backed startups with the latest photo sharing solution will ever be. </rant>

Hulu = current content on TV. Netflix = old content not currently on TV. Two different uses. If you want to watch current television without cable, you need Hulu.

It's all relative though. If you're a freelance developer spending 25% of your time every month seeking new clients (to keep the pipeline full), that's time spent on prospects that may or may not work out. What if you instead paid an agent

Does that mean you now spend little to no time actually finding work? The referrals are all inbound at this point? Genuinely curious.

Exactly. Freelance developers could benefit greatly from an "agent" who actually found them work they wanted and that was worth the commission. This is why we're creating matchist (matchist.com).

Unless of course you're a full time freelance developer. And that's exactly who we're creating matchist (matchist.com) for. A talent agency of sorts for freelance developers.

This sort of thing is exactly why we're creating matchist (matchist.com). If you've ever worked as freelance developer with a recruiter to help you find gigs, you've probably had the recruiter propose some Java work because you had Javascr

"Sometimes, sitting there twiddling your thumbs to relax or recharge is just as beneficial as reading, learning, growing, coding, building, shipping, etc." Exactly.
