Oh, that is unfortunate. Hopefully they fix that. For now, it might be worth writing a little bot that will flag PRs with noncompliant commit messages and titles.

Great post. Very clear explanation of things. The semantic release tooling is so good, I've started using it on non-js projects. I'm using it to manage Terraform modules, base docker images, etc. Once you're doing that, might

Sigh. I fell for the Web Coffee API link. I saw mention of a covfefe protocol and was excited to read about it.

It was Sublime Text 2 and 3. VSCode didn't exist yet. You do make a good point re: Windows 10 Pro. I hadn't thought of it from that perspective.

That is an interesting argument. They're basically saying its for the greater good that they stay open. There may be something to that, but their approach is tone deaf and irresponsible. Also, they're motivated by greed which is n

I'm sure a big piece is Microsoft thinking "most users don't need this so we can get away with charging the few who do". I have trouble feeling outrage because it is only $100 to upgrade. I've paid almost that much

I switched to Windows with WSL for all personal work about a year ago. I had been using Lubuntu (Lfce) for years, but wanted to give it a shot. There are some rough edges (file system permissions can be weird if you're sharing files be

Very impressive work. Just curious if you are worried about the big guys (AWS, GCP, etc) coming in and offering a similar service? If so, are you hoping DX will help act as moat?

I only have a passing familiarity with Rust. I've worked through some tutorials just to try it out, but its not even close to one of my daily drivers. Coming from that perspective, it is really hard to evaluate the argument this articl

I absolutely agree on the rental risk factor. It discourages discovery of new things. In addition to that, the rental terms on these services suck. Here's an example: A month ago, my wife and I rented Casino from Amazon Prime for like

I tried Terraform Cloud and went back to open source. I felt like it was a step backwards from Terragrunt. I'm only using it in the context of AWS though. I might try it again for a future project.

I was going to put an order in cause I've got a couple shoots coming up. Everything was in stock Friday. I went to buy today and everything but some of the more obscure cartridges are sold out. It is pretty crazy.

As mentioned, AssumeRole is a critical part of a multi-account strategy, which is considered an AWS best practice. In addition to that, it is an integral part of an SSO strategy. Ideally, instead of a pile of IAM users with separate credent

I think the average person cares a lot about privacy, but simply don't know about all the ways their privacy can be violated. Anyone can be hurt by a data breach. Look at those exposed in the Ashley Madison breach.
