Congratulations to SerenityOS! Quite amazing seeing the progress over this relatively short time.

Because it is a very well known software company. I have never used Citrix, but to me its as a name the same way as VMWare, SAP, EMC, Salesforce and Intuit is.

Such a stupid stereotype. Maybe it is true where you live, but no where I am at all.

Exactly. If you really want to get into it the depth of the construction of the panels you need is based on some maths - density of the insulation material and it's particular properties but all of that can be found out on forums such

Headphones are excellent, but I find I have a different experience with headphones compared to music coming out of speakers. Sometimes I prefer one over the other.

Seems to be some kind of DRC. $10K digital audio cables are never a good idea. I remember I went to some audiophiles house once to demo some speakers, and his "hobby" seemed to have taken over the house and common sense. He had cr

It's cheap compared to a Trinnov system. But honestly you might be better off spending 300eur/usd on wood, Rockwool and some fabric.

Yeah, those are kinda cool. They have the added advantage that they don't have a huge amount of bass, though what they do have is impressive for their size to be fair. But because of their size they don't always activate room acou

Nope, it's better to treat the room first, then invest in some quality monitors like Neumanns. Basic budget monitors will do great in treated room.

This type of software, is just a bandaid and really doesn't work very well (though it can work better with headphones). Properly thought out and tuned acoustic work is what is needed. I am lucky enough to have a spare room in my house,

I can feel it on my Taycan (it’s one of the most powerful models) but it’s not bad at all. Porsche has a lot of experience with gearboxes which probably explains why they can build a reliable one when dealing with the power and torque.

You do realise that you can get server parts for a custom build? That is what I run for home use, it’s the most reliable machine I have personally owned. And that even those workstations you think are reliable can and do have problems (I ha

I have MOTU, Universal Audio and Audient which are all good. But they are general aimed at musicians/producers etc. I would also recommend RME if you use a Mac or just the ASIO drivers on Windows. The drivers are really important, and

Probably going to sound pedantic, but a breakout box is different from an external audio interface or convertor. Breakout box typically only converts from one socket to another socket, like this one: https://www.tascam.eu/en

I moved over to Thunderbolt plus Audio over Ethernet. This is where the growth is (Dante etc) in the high end. I think I have 60 channels of IO and thinking of adding another 40. USB is good enough for a lot of people, though I am not a fan

Early electronic instruments, particularly before the 1980s had tuning all over the place, and you would have to wait 30 minutes to get anything resembling stability, even then nothing was guaranteed. Think it would be possible to mockup so

Not my experience, I buy Torx screws by the hundreds and haven't stripped a single one. I do use an impact driver sparingly or the torque setting on drill/driver - plus Bosch or Makita bits.

And they are tuned differently in different vehicles and different manufacturers. BMW does it the best IMHO out of those using that ZF transmission.

On my F31 (which I no longer have) I thought doing that just put the gearbox in sport mode, but to change the engine response you still need the buttons. Need to try it in my G series sometime.
