The problem isn't only the dynamics, but the regulation that comes with the technology. In many countries, TV is highly regulated: can't advertise for alcohol or cigarettes, political speech time is measured to make sure each &quo

One of my unmentioned red flags is a company with significant funding, no monetization plan and caring only about growth. That's 100% personal taste, as I'd rather work for a "calm company".

I wonder how their daughters feel about that. Especially knowing that for having such a career behind him, he must probably have spent a lot of time working and not being there for his family. Still, mad respect for what he/they did.

Did anyone in this thread try to see the situation from a child POV? School closed, extra scholar activities canceled, not allowed to meet friends, working parents. And then some childfree employees complain that the company allow parents t

Curious how the state should solve the current situation? Overrule companies vacation policy and give all parents extra PTO?

Very nice! I configured my NAS a few weeks ago, went for a fractal design core 500. Now I'm looking for a smaller, more beefy machine with less storage capacity, for some @home experiments.

Nope, it was indeed NUC. I already have a DIY NAS at home, I'm now looking for an extra small machine to run more experimental stuff, playing with k8s, etc. I don't want to do that on my NAS.

I'm trying to remember the name of these really small, nearly portable homelab servers. They're quite expensive but looked like a good homelab alternative for people lacking space for a proper rack. Someone knows it?

One big advantage of Netlify is the automated deployment of pull requests into their own dedicated environment. It's so nice to be able to review a PR not only based on its code, but also by having a look at the built website.
