apparently you have to e-mail privacy@quora.com to get your account deleted completely. That in itself is reason to delete your account btw. It speaks volumes of their regard for users and their privacy.

I do wonder how many people in Facebook actually think of their company as a "business infrastructure provider".

Yes it was supposed to be an app market on facebook. But since Dalton 'will never write another line of code for social platforms' i assume that ship is not sailing. http://app.net/features/facebook/

How do you reliably check that javascript is turned off without resorting to javascript? edit: never mind; an img in a noscript tag.

Where is your company based, 180K is probably too much wherever you would be but still; a startup in SF needs higher salaries than one in Austin (or Europe).

A onetime sponsorship would sort of defeat the point of having members that use and sustain the service though.

Just a tip: the confirmation email went straight to my spam folder (with a very high spam rating). You might want to think about using something like mailgun or sendgrid for better deliverability...

This would be awesome if i could set personal preference for the review sources. I really don't care what Yahoo voices or some of the other 'critics' think but you are bound to have some reliable critics in there that i do care about. Maybe

First thing i noticed as well, i wonder if that's a new idea. Once you get it it's the perfect little icon for the action.

There is no issue with IP addresses and SPDY perse. It's just that for SSL encryption (HTTPS) to work currently you would need your own IP address as older browsers (read IE < 8 on windows XP) don't support the SNI method of setting up

This would be very much illegal in Europe if used beyond just the test phase of an app. And even during testing it could only used with active consent of the tester probably.

Does this mean your not limiting use of delight to the testing phase but also allowing it to be used 'in the wild'?

I'm not sure recording a video of the user going through her private data on an app is the same as seeing where she clicks on your website though. As far as i know services like Clicktale will record mouse interaction but not the actual dat

And just because a big site uses it the language does not become good either, see the availability argument. I think most PHP programmers would not recognize what's running at Facebook as PHP with all the customization they have done.

Same way only easier; since your skill is more specific making it easier for people to figure out what to hire you for and for you to find out who your clients are. I guess your portfolio could relate some use cases. And lacking those there

Definitely worthwhile to get a designer in, if only for the basic branding elements; logo, type, palette. Spend some time on designer hangouts, like dribbble, find some designers you like and ask for some quotes. In my experience it's alway

yes you could indeed throw another address at your virtual host. but the website/tool in question won't work with IPv6 addresses as they are not valid in a URL is the point i was trying to make :)
