I hate line length guidelines. People should just enable word wrap. I use Sublime Text and it wraps lines in a really readable way, maintaining the indentation from the start of the line.

Huh. Considering they also implement an 80 character limit to line length, that could be a bit restrictive. Perhaps it means you have to refactor into a function once you reach a certain depth of blocks. You can only really go 9 blocks d

It's fine to use spaces for your tabular alignment. Go ahead. But whether you have tabs or spaces as the indentation portion won't make any difference to the resulting alignment. The important thing is that you don't mix ta

What's an example of some source code that becomes unreadable when you change the size of tabs? Are you editing code in Microsoft Word or something? Setting custom tabstops and shooting yourself in the foot? Don't mix tabs and s

People should just use actual tabs. Then you can make the indentation display however you want in your editor. And you never have to worry about deleting part of an indent level, creating weird slightly offset indentations. I know, everyo

I was going to say it didn't have a way to edit your filters, but it looks like that has appeared now. They're adding things bit by bit.

I'm contracting with Google. This is exactly the kind of argument I've been tying to make to my boss for over a year but to no avail. They come up with pet names for me to express how weird they think that type of engineering is

I like the controls in Skyward Sword. It's the dialog that kills it for me though. It takes about an hour to get to the first dungeon. Some day I'll re-play the game in Hero mode so I won't have to listen to all the dialog

I would have loved Skyward Sword if I could have skipped all the dialog, and if it didn't have that shitty linked chest mechanic. That game has some amazing moments, but the pacing really drags. It took over an hour for me to get int

Which is why this game is about going back to its roots. All the way back to Zelda 1.

Well Zelda 2 had experience points, which is unlike any other Zelda game. Minish Cap has some OP sword tutor moves in it though.

This game has a sword tutor as well, but you were able to do the techniques all along. It doesn't unlock them.

I never played the original, but I can describe how this one plays. You touch to move Neku around during exploration and your partner usually follows unless they're running off for plot reasons. During combat you can tap enemies to m

There are quite a few good games on iOS these days. The main problem with iOS for gaming is the lack of physical buttons, but some games make up for that with good touch controls. Here are a few multi-platform games I've been playing

You're gonna get a lot of game suggestions in response to this comment. Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is entirely in 3D but it manages to look a lot like the 2D art style of the previous games.
