They make good low powered virtualization machines (proxmox)/firewalls (opensense etc)/linux desktops. Network doesn't seem great on this though, most of the Aliexpress N200 boxes support 2.5G and fanless.

Python is a good example. You have several teams, each working on their own Python app. Each app is in various maturity levels, some are old in maintenance mode, some are new using the latest libraries. These teams or other teams also have

I find the actual deployment with cloudfunctions easy as you say. The complexity is the orchestration, the architecture, the hard vendor limitations, having to deal with being a distributed system. Having a FAAS service makes the deployment

That's the thing. All containers are, are a standardized way to ship (distribute) your artifact (application) with it's dependencies inside it. It's a tar archive with a manifest file. I find it easier to think of them as RPM

I’ve gone down bit of a rabbit hole the past week looking at low power x86 boxes. I woke up last Saturday morning with my home router, a PC Engines APU2 that had been fault free for the past four years not booting making a clicking noise. I

I'll share a project I've been working on that has greatly improved my meal planning. I created a tool to tell me what and how much to eat from a list of ingredients. Unlike most existing apps that only track what you eat, my app

Rust on Lambda's using containers as the deployment artifact are also very good, i'd say a perfect match. Low artifact size, low cpu+memory usage, fast execution. I think AWS must be using increasingly using Rust on Lambda interna

There are hundreds of thousands of people taking steroids who go to the gym at far larger dosages than the pros to try and look like a pro. None of them looks anywhere near pro bodybuilders. Steroids help. No one can deny that. The average
