I personally kinda read it as his friend wasn't anywhere near as experienced as was assumed, and she wanted more than he was ok with. Or maybe you're right. Its ambiguous intentionally I'd assume.

I personally think there's a great deal that can be done with this data. A few years ago, someone documented how to use an Arduino + Video Experimenter Shield to easily log closed captioning data ( http://blog.makezine.com/2011/08/16/enough

Ditto. I've pretty much just started telling people I'm actually from Boston. Reading the politics down there just makes me shake my head in shame.

I think it just has different problems. I don't think there's any way to create a perfect system, which is what many people seem to expect. It does solve several problems that no other currencies have managed to solve, but has cropped up

In a small company, if I can't see the cap table- then I don't want to talk about shares. No investor would touch a deal if they didn't have access to it, and I'm investing my time.

To the naysayers- there are 100 potential problems with Bitcoin. All reasons why it can "never" work. Yet, I can also list 100 problems with all sorts of things that we use on a daily basis: cash currency, vehicles, firearms, libraries, etc

What disturbs me is how many people in other countries (like the USA) feel that this type of thing could never happen here. However, it seems that even in the US the internet could be controlled by the government/army if they so desired and

I think the meta-meta question here is regarding the value of stock options vs immediate compensation (salary + benefits). So many CEOs treat options like they will definitely be of large worth to a person- but for the average employee they

Agreed. Here's something I realized about 5 years ago. You will spend 95% of your time putting pressure on your: - Shoes - Mattress - Chair Skimping on any of those can lead to fatigue, discomfort and pain.

Hmm, how did you get the data? 100% user added wikiness, or did it pull from some other 'tree' sources like Neurotree ( http://neurotree.org/neurotree/ )? I was able to find my girlfriend, which was pretty cool. One piece of feedback from h

Everyone's got their own thing that they like and hate though. I personally love trying to optimize and speed things up. On the flip side, I really hate doing CSS and Javascript front-end things (I can do them, but just prefer not to). Sp

I'm fine with this. Instead of a gold-rush, maybe people will only build things of value since they won't be motivated only by a pot of gold. Anyone remember how bad many of the first iOS games were, because companies were clearly just shov

The issue with Gitmo is that we're no treating others as we'd want to be treated. 10+ years with no proof/trial, simply because we've made up a new word "enemy combatant" to circumvent the Geneva Conventions... not exactly cool.
