I got a Bambu P1S two years ago for Christmas as a gift. It's been fantastic. 98% of my prints have been successful. They aren't the free open source dream machine, but it also works quite well and needs little messing with. I

I mean, I get it. I'm highly capable of building some great things, but at my dayjob I'm filled to brim with things to do and a non-ending list of tasks in front of me. I've built cool stuff before, and if given a little push

Agreed. Give me a phone thick and durable enough that I don't feel the need to add a screen protector and case to it, or strap a battery to the back to make it last. It seems they are often peeling away useful features, which then you

I disagree. It's akin to security theatre. People who engage in it can think they've done the right things, when in reality, they might have created more vulnerabilities or now have a false sense of security. Finding effective, ac

I hate to admit it, but I saw similar things. I referred someone incredibly qualified for a Chief of Staff role at a company. Their resume was well beyond what the company could have hoped to find. The executive recruiting firm was over the

Maybe if they are having problems, offer a clearly sub-optimal way to do it, and try to get them to talk about why it's not great or what better ways might be. That might help uncover some thought pattern or understanding about it. Suc

I'm shocked that YC hasn't advised them that this name is terrible. It actively breaks trust by trying to piggyback on Anthropic's tool naming.

Same. But of course, I checked the GitHub first, and I really dislike this confusion. I don't trust someone with my AI tools that's acting like they are trying to trick me into giving them sensitive access. Nope.

I had to check on their Github to see that this wasn't an official tool. I don't want to install a tool like this that isn't made by Anthropic. I, too, find this confusing and actively dislike the naming and association here.

Tubes burn out a lot less than most people think. I’ve got working tubes that are 60 years old and in active use. I have a tube tester and they do fail, but not ever 1-2 years like some think is a needed replacement cycle.

This is great! I started building similar at a hackathon a few weeks ago, and just haven’t had time to come back to it. I got all the infra up and had it making calls but was having problems with the syntax and to get it to respond to diffe

How can other developers help and participate in building, maintaining and operating the MUD? I've always wanted to be able to contribute to it. Am I correct that the source code isn't public?

My current dream is a model that's good at coding with a ~10m token content window. I understand Llama 4 has a window approximately that size, but I'm hearing mixed results on its coding capacity. If it had deep research and this,

I'm curious why they stopped in the first place. It seemed fantastic when it was out, and everyone loved them. Apple and Android watches are battery hungry and over-fluffed with features I don't want or need. I'd like to thin

I recently noticed that entities can be tagged/labeled in Home Assistant, and then selected on those (I use auto-entities). Instead of relying on a brittle naming convention, I can tag devices as 'rgb_led' or 'humidity&#

The group selection part is really interesting evolution-wise. It seems a very slow and difficult method of selection. I had never considered how something dying, and not passing along their genetics, could enforce a genetic trait.

Perhaps it could start low, $2, and then for every fraudulent claim you make it goes up exponentially? It would be accessible to the common person, but for a mega company making bulk fraudulent claims, it becomes expensive.
