What sucks is... they'll probably NEVER be able to push an update since it's still going to ring all the private API bells every time it's published. Here's to hoping things start changing soon...

You know, I thought that they were doing somewhat acceptably in my limited experience with 3G... until I spent the weekend in Chicago with '3G' and 'Full' reception. I couldn't make or keep any calls, and the '3G' worked about 1/3 of the t

Wow... this is, almost _exactly_ my final project for a class I'm in. I have to do some pretty serious stuff as far as the actual filtering goes, but the frontend is exactly what I've been working on down to the plugins (Redis/Sinatra/Haml

What does it matter if some anonymous internet person thinks you're a loser? I don't care what lists I'm on -- in fact I'd imagine people would love to increase they're 'list count' just like their follower count.

I did a survey on this a few months ago. The results are posted at http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewanalytics?formkey=dEhmQ0J... .

I'm actually doing something in this neighborhood for a project for a class I'm in. Basically, I'm just looking at tweets in general and trying to classify them as reviews -- e.g. I loved ____ it's great. I had originally intended to make

Great... I actually JUST got a popup from Firefox about this. This is why I don't use my old windows laptop for anything important.

Outstanding work! I'm glad to see other people making something interesting out of the data gathered.

I decided not to filter the data in the interest of giving anyone the ability to use the exact data set I received. For my personal use, yes, I removed the bad data. But as far as giving out the csv, I thought it made more sense to give pe

Good stuff! I think the employed, no income might be startup types who aren't paying themselves (just a guess).

I took a real quick look to get the data ready for my algorithm and I deleted less than 50 'fake' samples. YMMV

I hope you'll send me a link to your results. I'm too busy with classes to do much, but I'd love to see some deeper information. I'll be posting my machine learning results in a few weeks as well.

I was planning to wait until the link drops off the front page since people are still taking the survey. I think I'll take the other posters advice however, and let everyone see the summary now.

I feel it's too late to add an option like that, but I do regret not putting it in. I tried to be as broad as possible, but academia makes sense. Thanks!

http://cs.nmu.edu/~mkowalcz/cs495/project1.html This is the actual assignment. The data set doesn't need to be huge, it's more about the ideas than refining the algorithms (so we can cover more ground). The more entries the better, and

Yes, the data will be available to the general public on my website, and if anyone wants to mirror it they may. I might hold on to the data overnight just to get a good story together, but other than that, I have every intention of sharing.

I worked on it for a few hours to get it down to some simple things that might co-relate to a persons income -- I only needed simple data to test on. I think it will still be interesting to analyze nonetheless. Perhaps in a few months we

I've never heard of anyone raising money for a feature film this way, but I'd love to hear more about anyone else who has. Can you give me an example?
