I built it from the sources in the emacs-24 branch without a problem. For some reason only the tarball sources threw up that config error. Strange.

I'm getting this: checking host system type... i386-apple-darwin11.3.0 configure: error: Emacs hasn't been ported to `i386-apple-darwin11.3.0' systems. Check `etc/MACHINES' for recognized configuration names.
