This also exists (existed?) for mobile numbers, and was used by newspapers to 'hack' certain celebrities' voicemail. Including some cases where they deleted existing messages when the mailbox was full, so they could get more.

I've exposed SSH over tor in the past, so I can at least get into the box to set up a workaround like this if needed. (usually ddns/DMZ setup being broken) Never had many login attempts that weren't me through it, but had fai

Has any country exported an RTG to be shot into space by someone else? Vertically-integrating it yourself is one thing, but I'd expect NASA exporting a chunk of plutonium to India, even if they're both are nuclear states, would be

I love that most clients support just pasting the infohash into the 'add url' field. Saved me a few times on shady-looking sites that demanded an account or something before showing a download link, but still listed the infohash o

it's done like that because it uses less bits in the payment script. you can do it other ways, but it'll cost more. bitcoin's fairly freeform like that.

Should have less of a per-ticket effect on most low cost carriers. Since their priority is totally filling the plane. I'm interested in what kind of minimum price they want to set, as I really like how cheap it is to fly around Europe.

That's using the referrer header to detect if you clicked a link to their site from this domain. Totally different box of frogs altogether. JWZ uses the same trick, and redirects to an image of a hairy ball in an eggcup. Unless they&#x

<hostname>.local is usually setup if you have an mDNS daemon running. I think Ubuntu does this ootb, and if you still have an old windows install, you may have a copy of 'bonjoir' that was bundled with iTunes. You could prob

You can still fly over to Ireland, and even live there. :) Would take you about five years to get naturalised though.

As a non-American, It's always seemed strange to me that someone with a CCW, or otherwise armed isn't under reduced suspicion from cops. Like, you're clearly not a felon, and in many cases the feds already have a full set of

you could run kodi or similar on the TV, and push videos using a remote app. I'd suggest using KDE connect, if you really want to use a browser on the TV. I just use a $20 Logitech wireless mouse/keyboard personally.

A shame this is tethered, or I might consider getting some of this subsidised hardware. Surprised/not surprised that they run android via fireOS though. Even if 'android for things' has been killed.

Unless it's something incredibly damming, I don't think trying to blackmail people in government would go too well. Likely worse than complying, in most cases.

Surprised nobody's made an indie movie in which bioterrorists get the material from.these ticks into the food supply somehow. I can imagine it working either taken way too seriously like a Tom Clancy script, or super tongue-in-cheek an

I was not aware that disney+ shows weren't getting physical releases. Does that mean we've passed the peak of quality for some mainstream releases? Is 4k bluray the best we're ever going to get?

I think the surface temperature rises faster than lower part of the water, so a gradient needs to be applied to that calculation. And using that much oil for heating would probably overshoot, from the co2 released. Thanks for doing the math

There is a time limit on how long you can do that without sinking the ship, unless the whole thing is above deck and can drain off. Fires on boats are terrifying. Second only to submarine fires, IMO.
