Sure, until TransferWise decides to screw you over. I'd rather take the volatility of bitcoin and never have to worry about another centralized exchange/company locking my funds again.

I've been using bitcoin for the same purpose, doing remote work, getting paid with BTC and using it as a store of value. I cash out a small portion of my BTC every month (to pay bills) and take the money from an ATM, it works like a ch
