It was a down day for the entire market...joke of a headline If you want to see real market movers check out Heinz ($KHC) down 20% and Stamps.com ($STMP) down 47%!

I'm making the assumption that there are more jobs that pay $500k+ in Silicon Valley and NYC. If you can get that salary in 2nd cities like SEA or BOS then of course you're doing better than someone making the same in higher CoL p

I have low expectations that this will be very revolutionary. Sounds like a standard no fee 2% cash back card. The only thing I can see is maybe the card is more deeply integrated into your iPhone or Watch than a typical card added to Walle

What you put on your tax return every year doesn't really reflect your actual wealth. Even in tech most people top out at ~$200k-$250k base salaries but you may vest and accumulate millions in stock RSUs that you don't sell in a g

Usually when someone mentions a salary figure it's pre-tax. $500k in NYC is ~285k post-tax. If you have a family, a $1.5m house (which barely gets you a shabby 3-bedroom in a high cost city) will, assuming you put $300k down, be around

Take home pay in NYC on a $500k salary is ~285k/year or $23.75k/month. If you are supporting a family, then rent + living expenses + tuition + retirement + college savings etc will eat most of that easily.

I think you could apply for exceptions like you would for child actors (e.g. whatever law allows them to get around child labor laws) Point is there should be a way to limit public sharing of photos and videos without a child's consent

As a parent you should be able to share to a private FB, a private IG, a private YT account. That's fine, because you presumably have control over who sees those photos (hopefully people you actually know). I'm also not talking ab

As much as I'm not a fan of "big govt" in many cases, I hope there is legislation that prohibits parents from sharing photos, videos, etc. of their kids publicly (e.g. a public IG account, a public YT channel) without conse

raising money by itself doesn't, but it does if you are raising at a higher valuation and the share price increases.

Considering the former head of McKinsey went to jail for insider trading, the probability is not so small. Interesting data science exercise...visualize all the MIO LinkedIn connections to McKinsey people.

I don't think this is a reflection of Lyft taking market share...more likely that the ridesharing industry has just matured. I remember getting so much joy out of requesting an Uber back in the earlier days. Nowadays I get about as muc

I mean as a private individual I have no power to change what Visa or Mastercard do, so it makes no sense to "protest" by using cash (which actually hurts me since I'd be the one subsidizing others) instead of just trying to

The best way to beat the system is to take advantage of the massive credit card reward bonuses that US banks offer. I've churned credit cards since 2012 and have nearly all my personal travel paid for by points every year, including in
