So is this basically like a Markov chain attached to a C++ analyzer? If so, then I think the title is a bit gratuitous with the whole "AI" thing, but I can't say it's not a convenient feature to have in an IDE.

I’d love if it were ANTLR. I think it already has much in the way of support for multiple languages (I’m still working on a Dart port, and I encountered someone who has ported it to D). At the end of the day, I guess it might just boil down

I guess this article is just about the UK. I don’t know how it works over there, but at my school in the US, the residence halls vary pretty widely in price, and so the factor that really decides where you live is how much you can afford.

Wow, that’s actually really awesome. I really missed a good languages-other-than-Python story in Tensorflow. Now I feel a little inspired to try out ML again...

It's strange to me that after all this time, every time a thread about Flutter reaches Hn or proggit, there are multiple comments about the choice of the Dart language. I think they've made it pretty clear by now that they don

> nobody seems to be maintaining it there That's factually incorrect. Development of Dart for the Web has never stopped. AngularDart is still officially supported, and under active development.

It seems the like the newer Dart FFI effort will benefit current users of the Dart C API, which is great news... Dart C/C++ interop hasn't been a super-bright spot so far, and I am _beyond_ glad to see it's about to change.

Is it really that hard to keep a database secure? Genuine question - not sarcasm. I would love to know how the attackers got in in the first place. Usually when I hear about a breach, my first reaction is “yeah, I would have covered that fr

I think it's fair to say that Phaser is pretty established. If you're just targeting the Web+2D, you can get a smaller output too, rather than, say, bundling Unity into your game. Not a knock against those two, they're both q

Not sure if I'm the only one who feels this way, but it seems to me that many, if not most, JS starter kits are either over-engineered, or come with too much out of the box. If you really want to "quickly prototype" a game wi

So, what does this mean for HTTP and HTTP2? Will they always be around, and servers will just "gracefully degrade" and opt for the fastest/newest protocol? Or will HTTP/1 and 2 slowly decline over time? Genuine question,

I know Dart isn't that loved on here, but I had a pretty similar idea a couple of weeks back, a PoC serverless platform using Dart's Isolates, which are shared-nothing: https://github.com/thosakwe/serverless_d

Nit-picking a specific claim made in the article, but I honestly don't believe Lisp would be any less confusing to new programmers than Java. In fact, I think it would probably just confuse them more.

Please explain to me how an active choice to use specific apps is equivalent to “blindly following a trend.” For all you know, people could just _want_ to use Facebook, Twitter, etc., for their own personal reasons.

That’s fair. I can certainly understand privacy concerns/just general disinterest in social media as a reason to not use it. The article, though, at least to me, seemed more like it was more about just not using the popular thing.

(Disclaimer: I am Gen Z) Honestly, all of these "I refuse to use social media!" type articles just remind me of people who spam "all the music of this generation sucks; I'm 14 and I was born in the wrong generation"

The #1 thing I would love to see in future versions of Tensorflow is a better C API, with documented support for gradients, which are essentially for porting Tensorflow to other languages. As someone who is not very familiar with Python, I
