I would agree that China, India and USA are probably the key countries here ( and to a lesser extent other parts of Asia, Africa and South America). However I can't see China and India doing anything significant here. USA could be lead

When you say "a long time" what does that mean? I've learnt loads of stuff over the last 25 years or so that I don't use, doesn't mean that learning them wasn't a useful part of my development.

I have the version of the MSR pocket rocket which Alpkit sells in the UK. I'm friends with the founders so often buy from them and their equivalent is half the price of the MSR. They sell good functional kit [1] [1] www.alpkit.com

It cooks well enough that you'd always find something useable unless it's torrential rain and you'd get used to carrying a few bits of dry flammables with you. The size of thing makes it not very suitable for backpacking thou

Strangely this is the same thing that happened to the music business. Maybe we need to start selling merch and going out on tour to make a living!

I don't think you can set hard limits, only alerts. In my view there should be a plan designed like this, but I don't think they care about small time users enough to introduce it. I think the big 3 services are all the same in th

That's not 100% true though. For instance in the UK (EU days) you'd definitely be getting less than minimum wage and that would be means tested. Any payout from the company would only be there if you were a permanent employee, whi

In my view this makes it very difficult to use AWS or Azure for fun or as part of a small operation. It's fine when you have a big organization monitoring this stuff and a support team, but how will you feel if you get a billing alert

I have a few friends with parents with dementia, I didn't really fully get it. I watched The Father on Netflix, Anthony Hopkin's latest film and I thought it was very powerful. It gave me a lot of insight on what might be going on
