I don't disagree with any of that, but it's interesting to consider how China might move to be a place where like in the UK (aspirationally at least) or in Germany or Scandanavia where people might enjoy freedom, healthcare, socia

The only obvious advantage to a wide dataset to me is not having to join data entities, but I come from 25 years of mainly working with relational databases so I'm used to that. I can see that it would fix some problems around creating

You don't really say why you want to use ultra wide tables? I can tell you that they are quite painful to look at as a user, microsoft dynamics crm which I use has some tables with many hundreds of columns and it's painful to acce

Why do you need status in the UK though, I'm not sure it's a requirement, probably more of an ego thing? I've been to garden parties at Buckingham Palace, balls at Oxford and Cambridge university, worked in investment banking

You are living the dream, I suspect, from a UK perspective. I have a similar background. Not sure what you mean by coffee engineer? I have friends who are plumbers (gas safe) or builders etc. They can make the same money as me, or more, but

I would concentrate on modern JS without frameworks and TS initially. I can't recommend a book really as the last ones I read are 10 years old now e.g. JS - the good parts. You mention devops stuff e.g. networking / routing that I

There are some different pictures on a theme and some more similar ones from what I remember. I'll have to check out the wave, I only know it from popular culture, I don't think I've seen it in person.

Think of it as applying to a family member rather than yourself. Would you like your pet to eat well and drink enough water! You're free to do what you want. Lemmy lived till his later 60s and Ozzy is even older. You can't do ever

I was massively into computer gaming from age about 6, starting with game and watch, then vic20, spectrum and commodore amiga. The last games I remember playing regularly were in the mid-late 90s, stuff like Doom, Goldeneye etc. One thing t
