It looks interesting, but (I didn't provide my twitter password yet) I still don't "get" what twitpare does. Does it send out a tweet or is it just using Twitter accounts for login or what? I'm embarrassed to admit I can't tell how it works

The video answers your questions, though, so I'd highly recommend you stick through it if this is a topic you're at all interested in enough to inquire about. It's harder to explain in a convincing way and if the video doesn't excite you th

I like the way it works now. But I like the ranking idea a lot-- giving awards to top journalistic reporting. You could even have a People's Choice voting for different areas each year and perhaps those journals/editorials/etc will ask peop

Thanks a lot for the response. So far seems to be working quite well. I uploaded a youtube vid, a pic, and an MP3 and it seemed to work great. I was expecting them to have an RSS feed input for their blogs on their end, but it doesn't seem

I'm just looking for a way I can get Posterous great backend features working elegantly with Squarespace's solid UI features. Both companies pretty much entirely ignore the other aspect and if one or the other caved-in and took a stab at im

Cool-- I had a hunch recently that some of our weekly match reports for Yumbunny (our dating site) were showing too many potential matches in the email reports we send. I envisioned some of our users getting overwhelmed by all the options.

You could make money off of this shareware, at least some. Personally, I see the video and I think it's useful enough that I would pay $4.99 provided a trial worked well and that I knew it worked with Vista/Windows7/etc. Perhaps I'm not alo

I noticed the Firefox icon changed a little bit in terms of its coloring, etc. Threw me off a bit.

There was a 3.5b99 being pushed as an RC candidate, anyone know how this "b4" build fits into that progression?

Or, of course, Google Adsense paying site owners $1 per Firefox download. That was going on quite a long time.

So... Aren't trolls going to watch for clues on that Twitter feed and then setup fake sites that match the clues that say "You won!" and phish or confuse the poor users? Or, just as likely, give ads for Firefox, Opera, Chrome, or Safari?

They really feel at home within this constraint. It's very important to them that it be compatible with the 160-char SMS limit because they feel Twitter is at its heart an SMS publishing system that has grown to have other uses.

The GIL has really frustrated me for multiple years. When you're embedding Python into an application, it's really difficult to take advantage of the best multi-core options Python has because those options are all multi-process tricks. At

90 degree fov was what worked for me (and most shooters I know used at the time). Sorry I didn't clarify that above. They eventually allowed changing it as a cheat, but it was frustrating for a while . The community talks a little bit about

I actually had a similar frustration for Half-Life 2 single player. Valve originally hard-coded the field of view (fov) to 75 which caused intense motion sickness for me (for some reason). I enjoyed the game immensely, but I still had to go

As much as we bash IE, it's my opinion that it's a step in the right direction with IE8. We should have had something like this 4-5 years ago, but I would much rather my customers use IE8 than any browser made 6+ years ago. If it supported

If you're really bored with a domain and don't want to squat it, you could turn one of your short domains into a URL shrinker, we just opened up hosting for that yesterday: http://tinyarro.ws/info/custom/

Has anyone considered changing their parked domains to say: "This domain is free to anyone who will develop it into something. All that is required is that they feature a link to my other project/site %s for the first year."

We all agree Google should cut the spammers off, but they need to have a rational policy for how they communicate with their partners, customers, etc. I expect better from Google regarding the customer service. It shouldn't be a mystery to
