Not to be petty, but West Virginia isn't really a southern state. It, along with portions of Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Tennessee, is part of what we call Appalachia, a mostly rural rust-belt region.

The WSJ is officially yellow journalism. This map is a real trip. South Carolina splitting from Georgia? Mexico owning New Mexico but not Arizona? If he's going to prop up ridiculous fantasies, at least he could try harder. What pains the t

I knew as soon as this popped up in my feed reader that it would be the top link on HN because it's very flattering, not that there's anything wrong with that.

CSS is pretty much universally a superior way to manage your page styling, which is why us "CSS Zealots" have that attitude.

And my point is that every language is flawed. If you only focus on the unique features of the languages you learn, you may not become a better program when working with languages that lack these features. But simply assimilating these idea

Enthusiasts always put their language of choice on a pedestal. Python is a very good language, but I often find it to be too restrictive and will use Ruby/Perl for elegant metaprogramming and Erlang for functional programming.

I'll briefly recommend "The Black Jacobins" by CLR James: A classical quasi-Marxist study of Toussaint L'Ouverture and the Haitian Revolution (the only widely successful slave revolt). Toussaint hacked the slave trade, colonial oppression,

Oh, I saw the link and didn't read your username clearly. I have the TextMate bundle here...I suppose some interested person will have to get to writing a few io.vims :^)
