I'd be curious if they spent any time on getting multiple containers on a single machine to start faster. When I tried to do this recently, it appeared that starting of docker containers on a single machine is inherently serial. Anybod

I did something similar during my PhD. Maybe you want to have a look: http://se.inf.tu-dresden.de/pubs/papers/knauth2014dreamserve... It was published at SYSTOR last year (2014).
