Aren’t most android phones still able to share files via Bluetooth? I thought that was the whole shtick of android back when people actually compared the two platforms.

This sounds cool, but does it make sense? “It uses just tiny bits of data that piggyback on existing network traffic so there’s no need to worry about your battery life, your data usage, or your privacy.” How do you piggyback on existing tr

To be fair, I’m not sure I’d necessarily trust an “injectable” chip that’d be forever lost in my body, unremovable. Subcutaneous chips sound much more reasonable, especially if I can pay with my finger.

I’ve never heard this question formulated this way, it’s weird that they would put it in the FAQs unless they’re just taking the piss. A more helpful question would have been “Can I be spied/tracked after I’m vaccinated” or something a

Right, my suggestion is that it should. Yahoo’s settlement included identity protection or something along those lines. Disclosure to the customer might not always be enough.

Full credit card details were leaked; The 72 hour window is reasonable. I’d go as far as forcing them to contact the banks of those cards as well.

They could easily factor natural growth and ping you when it feels like bills are getting too close to the cap. Even “bursts” could be allowed x% above the cap if you get an email within an hour. The lack of caps is just laziness or a dark

I use a few free APIs with usage limits. Maybe I pay 10 cents a year. I’m always afraid to one time open an invoice to find out it’s way more than that for whatever reason. The problem is that AWS markets itself as “pay what you use” and ge

“My friends got covid and they’re fine” comes to mind: 1. Your anecdotal experience is meaningless. 2. I’d rather have scientists confidently say “we’ll all die if we don’t change” than “eh maybe it’ll be alright, let’s wait and see” while

I think that’s why we see slow increases of bandwidth. Jumping from 10M to 1G is really expensive and services to make use of it will take a decade to adjust/appear, especially if everyone else is still on 10 or 20M. So the investment

As long as large companies can buy votes through lobbying, the condition of animals will not improve. I’m not a vegetarian but when I see how they’re treated in the US it sickens me a little. Thankfully I don’t live there so I know my chick

Wow this is almost exactly what I’ve been looking for for years. I don’t want a tool like up that works on a fixed entry command; I want a full terminal that takes care of everything, showing me the output at every step. What’s missing is s

Your example really does not help your cause. What’s 150? No idea, gotta look into the docs. The “insane” SVG example is much more readable, its JSX version would actually even maintain types (cx={150} since it’s a number). I generally agre

Ahh I love black sapote too. Indeed you eat it when it feels rotten, except black sapote isn’t particularly sweet, at least the very few ones I tried in Oaxaca. Did you know… black sapotes are of the same family of persimmons? If you focus,

As Seinfeld says, if you’re funny, you will succeed (referring to female comedians). But instead people prefer blaming everyone but themselves. Being a CEO or entrepreneur is not easy for anyone, but victim mentality doesn’t make it any eas

I guess that’s what happens when you let people vote on issues they know nothing about. Referendums should be preceded by fact-checked pros and cons of each decision, side by side. But no, let politician sh*t-talk on TV and buses with nonse

Bu US drugs standards, maybe, but given that they plan to sell billions of doses I think that's a pretty good price, especially because they already got plenty of grants and support during development.
