I wish we were able to preserve the ICON experience in an emulator. I bet even a browser has enough compute power to emulate a network of them.

The Watcom compilers on it were pretty good. I started with Pascal, then moved to C, and finally Assembly. I do remember compiling being slow, Turbo C under DOS was much faster.

I saw a comment in another thread that the AMA recognizes the problem of a deficit in new MD's. According to the comment, congress provides funding for MD residents, and that is the real bottleneck.

A lot of our preferences and strategies in the reproduction game were formed over many generations and are encoded in our DNA. Modern day inventions have definitely changed the rules, things like DNA tests, Apps, birth control, throwing a

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I remember in the 70's baseboard heaters were very common. They use a lot of electricity, but electricity was super cheap back then. It would be interesting to compare baseboard+extra

Yes, I looked into it. To store a few days worth of electricity I would need maybe 100kWh of battery storage. Right now I think battery storage costs around $100 per kWh. A whole season of electricity would be prohibitively expensive.

The addiction to these platforms is real in the younger generation. I try to reduce their screen time, they resist it, they claim they need it to relax.

I just took mine on a fairly long trip, around 370 miles. I used the hold charge feature once the battery reached 75%. It was fun to drive through a hilly region, the battery got me up the hill, then the engine plus regen charged it back

At a certain depth the temperature curve is 6 months delayed from the surface. So it's getting to its warmest during the winter, and coldest during the summer. At a deeper depth it's pretty constant year round.
