It’s not the same thing. With Spotify there’s no expectation of owning the music, I pay my subscription knowing that I pay for an access to a music catalog. Although it sucks, I know some titles can disappear from my playlist from time to t

Without surprise I see no mention of a refund. I fail to see how their « licensing agreement » is any of the customer’s business. They « sold » something they didn’t have the right to sell , instead of renting it. Sony should be forced by

Regarding RDAP, it actually is enforced by ICANN, it’s been mandatory for a few years for gTLDs (not sure if it is, or can be made mandatory for ccTLDs). All registrars handling gTLDs should now have an RDAP, otherwise they’re in breach of

Why don’t you update dev+qa at the same time? Or qa+sandbox? Or dev+qa+sandbox? Separating these 3 might make sense for the applicative part (and even then, I think 4 environments is too many), but I’m not sure it really make sense to follo

It's neutral. For example, it was used with metric system definitions: at some point the "kilogramme-étalon" was literally an object weighing 1kg (by definition, the kg was this object). You can see here a kilogramme étalon

Not sure if it’s used a lot in English, but in French a « valeur étalon » is a value of reference. Like you measure something precisely, define it as standard and it becomes your étalon for future measures I guess it’s used in this sense he

It is protectionism indeed, but not only. There’s 2 ways using the correct term is a good thing: - first for the consumer. If everything is named « champagne », it stops existing. It means there’s no way to know if you’re getting champagne

The fuss is that if you call everything champagne, then champagne doesn’t exist anymore. It becomes impossible to know if you get the real stuff or not. This is very anti-consumer. That’s not just a problem with « made in China » copycats,

That’s not my experience at all. You do know you can run arbitrary shell scripts, and that means they don’t need to think of every possible use case? If your CI process is so complex that YAML + arbitrary code doesn’t work, you might want t

See, this is deceptive because Champagne is more like a brand, not a type of product. The type of product is « sparkling wine », « méthode champenoise » or « méthode traditionnelle ». Using Champagne in the name is lying. « Steak » is not a

Dictionaries add definitions based on common usage, and in common usage, « xxx steak » can definitely refer to a plant based steak. If I say « soy steak », you definitely know what it refers to, and it’s not ambiguous with « steak » alone.
