So you’re saying going forward 1 frame in a video is in the scope, but going back 1 frame is out of scope. Weird stance.

If you’re a developer: - SQL, this goes without saying but if you’re only using an ORM without knowing SQL, you’re setting yourself up for failure. - Regular expressions, it’s not that hard. Knowing how to read and write a regex without nee

There’s big sections of code I wrote in the original open source lib. I didn’t copy paste the code but the implementation in this component is obviously pretty close. I’m the copyright holder of this code anyway so it should not be an issue

I was actually looking for something like this a few days ago! There’s an open source tool which I love the idea of (basically a tool for declarative integration tests), but I really don’t like it’s implementation. I tried to contribute to

Hard disagree. A standard way to define iterators was long overdue, and using the existing `range` construct was the right solution. This change will end up removing some mental load, at an extremely low complexity cost. Basically you defin

For hosted runners that might be true. The best experience I’ve had with GHA self hosted runners was simply using a beefy VPS. At my current job, the self hosted runners were hosted on K8s using Arc and it was a… very unpleasant experience.

How is CI not a solved problem with GitHub Actions? I used and loved GitLab CI years ago and remember it feeling better to use than GHA (though maybe I’m remembering through rose tainted glasses), but GHA are just working nowadays, and the

That’s a stupid rule. It’s easy to homecook delicious and healthy meals. Don’t use healthiness as an excuse to make food without sauce or seasoning.

It’s not a feature. People use it this way and expect a history and search feature. It’s the way it is. Not providing a feature is not a feature. It’s an inconvenience at best, and a lack of respect at worst when you present it like people

> to press and hold To be clear, in games that use L3 for sprinting, you usually don’t need to hold L3, it’s a toggle. I guess there are exceptions of course but THAT would be bad design.

I actually love the L3 toggle for sprinting. I think the first game I played that used L3 for that was Horizon, and the intuitiveness of the control just blew my mind. It seems to become a convention across games and I’m all for it.

That’s not an option in my case. I don’t want to make my tool artificially dependent on a backend when it’s not needed, it would be crippling for no reason. Also it’s a testing tool that should be able to run on CI, so being dependent on a
