Why are you making fun of this when this is quite literally what's happening? Maybe not the puppies and flowers thing, but you could have added the "taking money away from child cancer research" and that one would have been t

#republicans has never been censored. And tbh when right/far right content is being censored, it’s usually because they’re lying or prove to be terrible human beings. Not the same thing.

It’s definitely surprising to me. I was a hardcore pro-Musk before he bought Twitter. But it didn’t take him long to show his nazi colors (NOT an exaggeration) after that (maybe even a bit before?). I quit Twitter as soon as he did and I’m

Surprisingly it doesn’t take a lot more when the political opponents don’t do shit (Biden x Garland, anyone?) or when the people either actively supports dictature or decides not to vote for… reasons.

He’s done it twice. He also openly supports the German far right party. He also famously does nothing against neo nazis on Twitter. What more do you want? Musk would literally have voted for Hitler in the 30’s. And probably paid for his cam

> Trump would not have been forced to hand over power Can you re-read your sentence and ask yourself if this is a normal thing to say in a working democracy? That this is even on the table means Trump IS a dictator. He was just too dumb

I don't use Lisp but this is very readable to me, actually way more than the examples in the article by a lot. I actually understand this code, just because of how it's formatted. Maybe I'd just use 2 spaces instead of 4 but

Why? I don't think Postgres is a bad name, it's not great but not terrible.

It redirects to DuckDuckGo, the name is still written full size, and their stupid logo is still there. Give me ddg.co or duck.com with no redirect, no branding and no logo and I’ll use it.

I know. But I don’t want to use something with a naming sounding weird that I actively hate, especially when there are alternatives with a better name.

I wish they would have chosen a better name. Honestly if I have to install a Git server one day I’m gonna install Gitea, not a tool I can’t even pronounce. Names are important, this is why I also don’t use DuckDuckGo. The reasons for forkin

Or even better, before the code review. If your engineers commit substandard code that was generated by an AI, they’re not doing their job. It’s ok to miss some things, but "breaking the codebase" should absolutely not happen.

Does it? We once discussed making our ids (UUIDs) prettier, came to the same conclusion of using some base64 variant in 5 minutes, and came across base32 10 minutes later, and the final implementation is pretty trivial. This is a 1 day job

When you write "VLC: we're gonna work on AI" you’re clearly implying AI is worthless.

You’re confused, what you have in mind is Electron. NodeJS et al. use a JS engine, not a browser engine. NodeJS does not have DOM rendering or even parsing for instance.

I'm not sure you can actually break code with the new for-loop semantics (I mean, in real life situations). It can probably fix some buggy code in the wild, but I have a hard time believing anyone would voluntarily write code relying o
