Which ones? Can you show an example of such a maze generator? It’s hard to compare otherwise.

I guess this is a gem in large part because it is free and high quality work. I wish there was a way to demonetize the internet a bit; or to provide easier access to places that don’t always try to sell you something.

I guess this looks moat shaped. And seems to be aligned well with Apple too: their focus on privacy, their hardware performance gains, their ai assistant products. Apple is good at launching new product categories, ahead of competition. The

In general yes, there are other languages where this is easy too. Then again, ruby and rails make it especially easy; perhaps the amount of conventions helps. Other things, like the ‘?’, clean syntax and focus on structure (OO), help too.

The hardware rootkit is there for a different reason, I was only saying why they don’t allow original owners to circumvent that.

With an attack vector this significant, frequency matters less. Would you want to rely on a laptop if some third party (original owner) could reassign it to themselves?

At first I thought it was pointless, i.e. to migrate from github only to mirror your code there eventually. But in the end I like it — mirroring self hosted source forges to github seems a good way to raise awareness of github alternatives.

Given the rise of “AI-powered” forges, i.e. platforms that add the source of projects hosted there to their AI models, is it ok to upload GPL-licensed code there?

by thih9 3y ago
The author didn’t eschew discovery - the article mentions mirroring to github to take advantage of their code discovery.

Open core was one of the reasons. Another was that it’s also “AI-powered”.
