I could have been a poster child for the "Eu amo Goiânia" campaign ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp8bq6kgCu8 ). I lived in Rio but had family in Goiânia and was visiting them when the accident happened. School w

Tried reading on mobile (iOS) and gave up because I had to keep scrolling to keep up with the animation pushing the text down.

It’s like the animation from all LucasArts games. If you haven’t played the others, you’re in for a humongous treat! My favourites, in no particular order: monkey island 1 and 2, Indiana Jones, the dig, Sam & max, day of the tentacle. T

This has been on my mind lately due to twitter bubbling with anti-corporate bailout sentiment. A friend (Hi, Ian!) shared the link and said: we have gotten so used to people abusing what is right in favour of what is "legal" aroun

Because you don’t have to. The few hours you used on infrastructure can be better used fixing a bug, polishing/adding a feature or even giving yourself a break so you can be better focused the next day. A Heroku-like platform will lite

The first 4 digits are pre-assigned prefixes so it’s very easy to find valid ones; e.g.: visa starts with 4, MasterCard with 50-55 etc ( https://creditcardjs.com/credit-card-type-detection ). The remaining digits have an erro

I’ve been using https://libraries.io/ to get at-a-glance stats on age, activity, number of dependent projects and other metrics that, arguably, are a good proxy for quality.

John Lennon would like a word with you. Oh wait, he doesn’t. Because some crazy fan shot him and he’s been dead for decades. This is nothing new.

Shorten’s strategy to lose the battle/win the war has soured my view of him forever. He’s revealed himself to be a man of no principles.

Being the the country with the weakest civil rights protections in the 5 eyes allows us to be used as a test bed. If this thing goes smoothly, expect the same to be attempted in UK, US, NZ and CA.

I beg to disagree. I remember a golden age when cable tv was known to be better because it didn’t have any ads. Slowly they became as ad infested as open channels.

Obviously but OP’s point still stands. Quality UX takes time and careful thinking (which is why it’s worth doing it for a plane but not for a car).
