Then you make a vm or whatnot and install all the old versions of everything. I haven't seen an open source project in a while that doesn't have old versions for download easily. Still, annoying if you can't stand that kind of stuff.
(people seem to be in two camps: either they hate it or have almost no problem with it)
- jnxx 6y agoWell, where do you download the hardware ? ;-)
- PeterisP 6y agoTo clarify, the issue is that the old version of software won't work with the new libraries, and the old libraries won't work with the current GPU models, so you can't run the old code without modification unless you have old hardware as well, and you can't virtualize the GPUs.
