It's also a series of small choices that seem even smaller given the situation and timescale. Everyone has their own story, but I've heard this one too many times. Imagine this is over the course of years: - You feel chemically

I don't feel like the audio quality is actually any better than my headphones from years ago, it's just the bonus extra features.

I absolutely hate that. I've had AirBNB's tell me to take out the trash and the full gamet before leaving while still charging me $30 to clean. I refused.

It's often worse than what it replaced, too. Uber did well because the Taxi industry already had gone to such low low's, but the gig economy feels synonomous with an excuse to pay less than minimum wage to me.

The dispute processes make binding arbitration with a third party company seem desireable, and that's saying something.

Their dispute process reminds me of credit card chargebacks. They don't read the info you produce most of the time and make a call based on what's best for the company. I hate it.

I think the host caliber was much different then too. The professional AirBNB people had not setup shop.

I had a similar situation. I was very weary at first, but it was one of the best trips I had in a while. I still keep in touch with the hostess.

Ha, that may beat my weird one. I was with an ex, and we rented a room in a home across from Golden Gate park. We cleared with the resident that we would be back around 2am, and that it would be fine. At 2am, they got mad at us for making

Maybe not murder, but I know women hesitant to stay in AirBNBs due to the stories of hidden cameras.

I don't remember anything that bad either. They didn't fit the thermal requirements of laptops that well, but even the G4 with Altivec was plenty fine for many things. The Intel move still made lots of sense, but that didn't

Advertising is already censoring these platforms, sadly. The gov doesn't need to get involved.

Packaged food doesn't have to list items if they are in small enough quantity. Many potential addicting substances would be under that allotment. We should have the ability to control it all, though.

Same! I love my 70's bookshelf speakers and the amp is perfection. My sub is newer, but only early 2000's new (and I lucked into it)

I really hate that style of editing. Does it have a name? The big signs include quick cuts of content you had just seen in order to summarize the story till then, previews before commurcial breaks, pre-starting the next episode (starting t

I really like Bing these days. Google has sanitized it's results so much that anything interesting is gone. Things off the top of my head: finding technical docs via searhing pds, "Index Of" listings, adult content (not eve

I really appreciate this post. I'm reevaulating what it means to be disabled. I still don't know how to answer, as I have learned to manage them very well, but I do still change my life based on it, and more improtantly, I think

I agree in general, but under a certain amount, it just takes you out of the moment too much. 25fps constant seems to be the start of OK.

I haven't heard of it either, but it's mostly a proglonged, enhanced DMT trip, and I know people who got addicted to DMT, so I could believe it?

I actually had long term healing from MDMA, and had no problems putting it down at any time. Of course people with addictive personalities can get addicted, but thats true of almost anything.

I think it's very unfair to give someone money and then demand it back. It puts people in awful situations financially. I know people that have been ruined via this when it happened with their taxes (and they weren't doing anyth
