What do you suspect could go wrong? Not attacking, just curious.

Another thing people seem to forget is that Langchain can use LLMs that aren't made by OpenAI. If OpenAI goes under, or a great open-source model comes onto the scene, Langchain can still do its thing.

As an infra dude it saves me loads of time. Most of the code I write is stuff where I already know what needs to happen, I already know how the process looks un-automated, and I'm not going to learn a whole lot writing more boilerplate

I was about to rant about the documentation, but I just checked and it seems to have improved a lot.

It's unfortunate that prettymuch all shiny AI things have horrible documentation. I see a lot of misinformation in non-researcher AI circles and I feel like it stems from that sometimes.

Weirdly enough, I've been far more interested in local politics lately because I can see stuff actually get done that improves my life.

I don't really understand this. What evidence is there that this is the case?

The fact that you're factoring in how popular he polls to determine whether this prosecution is worth it cements in my mind that it is 100% worth it. Popularity should be the last factor in whether someone is prosecuted for a crime.

Oh, I see. It's about a cap in baseline ability rather than whether it's technically possible to give it the extension?

I've been wondering...does it even matter at this point when you can just pull out a calculator in langchain? Also side note...I went to high school with the author and hadn't heard about him for a while lol. That was a neat surpr

That's funny...I actually just bought your book because I have a bone to pick with the documentation. It's good at explaining stuff, but I feel it fails to show how some of the parts work together. It would be immediately more obv

So...in the pirate example the comment said to talk like a pirate, right? Is the example comment where it searches for a keyword a different example? I'm just really confused why the image says to search for a keyword, and then the LLM

All your points I agree with. I didn't say it was a good system. I've lived in Japan and I loved the government health insurance. One of my biggest annoyances about being back in the US is how I get my insurance through my job, so

Yeah but again, this is the fastest growing app in history and it uses way more compute than your standard webapp, and basically delivers all functionality from a single service that handles that load. I can see why there would be some grow

Lol. This is classic ML crap. Files with no documentation, no links, multiple files with the same-ish name but no explanation for which one is what.

I can't see the first case ever happening. You'd need a whooooole lot of trust in AI systems to have it write all the code. As for the latter...I'd say GPT has increased my productivity and therefore allowed me to focus on th

TBH, the most useful thing it does for me is write my boilerplate code and tedious statements. That's infinitely more useful than the knowledge stuff. The other day I was working with the Cisco Meraki API...I knew exactly what the scri

The other thing is that we'd need insane levels of trust in the AI to have it doing all these jobs 100%. Like, I could technically have a newbie running commands on a production router for a script that I wrote out...but even if I let

Just FYI for non-Americans...most Americans are insured and doctors visits don't cost 10k. Major surgeries might, but your insurance usually caps at a certain number in the 2-8k range for the whole year. Not saying the system isn'

This has been my thing too. I work in Networking and sometimes I see interesting stuff, but between cisco's beefy docs and obscure blogs I have no idea what the actual use case for it, or how the SD-WAN magic wand does the thing. ChatG

To be fair, they accidently made a game-changing breakthrough that gained millions of users overnight, and I don't think they were ready for it. Before chatgpt, most normal people had never heard of OpenAI. Their flagship product was b

This is what I'm talking about. Everybody in the comments is doing that thing where "it's not sentient bro, it's just an app that responds to input!" but that's so beside the point. Humans parrot points they he
