That's something we're considering, but as you say it's likely to be kinda painful. We'd ideally prefer to get higher-quality developer contacts. The LinkedIn suggestion is excellent - thanks!

Fantastic - thanks! I shall indeed check that out.

Also, WP Engine do all the updates for you, which is not the case for this setup. That's one of the major reasons I run most of my WP sites on a managed service - I'm a bit too busy to keep on top of all the updates that come out.

My biggest piece of advice is to always work on new and interesting things. The money/career will come from that. This is absolutely true and excellent advice. It applies, often, even if the thing you're working on has no immedi

What does success look like here? Are you purely looking for additional income? If so, how much risk are you prepared to take on, are there any industries you don't want to work in, and what's your income goal? Or are you looking

Fair point - as the other commenter says, just because you have free healthcare doesn't mean you have the confidence to use it, the knowledge to know what to ask, the access to exercise facilities or (and this is probably the cause of

There's already an exercise equivalent. Google "Slavercise". Appears to have lasted a few years at least...

Yup. Ugly works extremely well. I've personally made significant money from a very similar ad. Never underestimate the power of MS Paint (or equivalent)!

Tested Advertising Methods is great. It's also worth checking out the book Ca$hvertising. Its marketing is exactly as cringe-inducing as it sounds, but it has a lot of solid advice.

I'm not sure about that. Having spent some time studying knife fighting, one thing becomes abundantly clear - no matter how expert you are, and how inexpert your opponent is, a knife fight is still extremely dangerous. Statistics I&#

"Death of a family member is much more likely to happen if you are poor. Too bad you can't afford that unreasonably expensive surgery." This applies in the US, rather less so in many other countries. (UK resident here.)

If you can use mobile traffic, then there are DOZENS of mobile DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms) which compete to offer mobile inventory. www.decisive.is is a rather good one, but there are tons of them. Otherwise, the obvious suggestion outside

Have you tried the Asus depth camera? I work with motion capture apps and 3D scanning, and in both areas developers are pushing it as a decent if not spectacular replacement for the Primesense camera.

Nandos', in the UK, offers a similar experience - just by having you pay when you order. Can't speak for everyone, but I much prefer it.

There are an enormous number of sub-corporate level businesses out there. Some of them are great employers. Some of them are terrible. But none of them will feel like working for a large corporation.
