Big fan of TWIM. I've tried several methods and TWIM seems to work super well with my brain.

Every time I see an FPGA article, I feel a little sad that Tabula[1] didn't make it -- 1.6Ghz clock and reprogrammable on the fly. RIP. 1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabula,_Inc .

Clifford Ashley was one of the last marlinspike seamen. What an encyclopedic knowledge of knots. I pull my copy out every now and then and just sit and tie knots and/or share useful knots with my kiddo.

UU sounds awesome. Their 4th principle, the “free and responsible search for truth and meaning” sounds particularly enticing when I think about what their sermons would be like. I’d expect the pastors to draw from an expansive set of source

Huh, my daughter and I taught her first grade class SET last year (I did most of the pedagogy…). They seemed both able to learn it and engaged. It wasn’t in a math circle setting, but a lesson to the whole class. Would be cool to investigat

I took a self-rescue course and a list at the end of their handout had such good engineering tips that I shared it with my eng team. Lots to be learned about engineering from climbing/mountaineering. The list was something like the fol

Yeah! Go you! There's so many great lessons in this game -- arithmetic, probability, decision making, managing competing desires, risk and ROI (gotta bet some to get something back, and ultimately you might not get it back).
