No it's not. This job ad requires github. This should not be acceptable. > This Request For Proposal document may be updated to reflect things that we learn during the process. The canonical version and history is available here. (

Sorry if I can't tell if you're telling the truth because I haven't been able to use yt-dl since the last non-github repo broke months ago.

It's NSA/Microsoft walled garden only. This isn't open source - github does not count as open source.

Runs on "linux" (aka NSA/Microsoft Windows) isn't the point here. The source code isn't available outside of the NSA/Microsoft walled garden, seemingly anywhere.

Looks like it's still stuck in the NSA/Microsoft walled garden. Might as well be using Windows.

It shouldn't have been on NSA/Microsoft Github in the first place. That repo should have been abandoned in 2018. Other, non NSA/Microsoft forks should continue development where they left off. And since no one else seems to

Don't use NSA/Microsoft's computer to store your data. I'm not sure how much more clear cut this can be. NSA/Microsoft is a persistent, global adversary and should be treated as one not as some kind of standard.
