They don't seem be on Chrome roadmap. We'll all grow full beards by the time DOM and GC become available. https://wasmdash.appspot.com

Is there any such toolkit? What exactly is "platform's 'primitive views'"? Usually the "native" implementations are actually bindings to the native APIs which require heroic courage(a lot of manual tweakin

This may be off-topic but I'm wondering if there is any chance to see cross platform and cross language toolkits any time soon. Something based on WebAssembly so that we don't have to worry or bash about programming languages. Dar

I believe that doesn't take into account the client side detection. It was added later.

Both Chrome and Firefox use the same techniques as far as the client side detection is concerned if not even the same code. Both send the data to Google.

I think you can check the source https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/chrome/browser/safe_bro... Long story short it sends the DOM "model" including links, input names etc. There was a story o

Actually it sends the DOM model too. It's named client side detection. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5971403

It's named client side detection and it sends the DOM model(actually hashes of it) to Google. I found about it on HN too. Obviously you may check FF/Chrome source too. I would love to be proven wrong. https://news.ycomb

Firefox sends the DOM hashes to Google just like Chrome.

I didn't even know that the client was not open source. What makes this Firebase less risky than Parse or the recently deprecated Prediction API?

This is nothing new to me. I'm still working on my GAE/datastore migration...Price spikes, platform changes and deprecation are real risks when you use proprietary services/platforms.

My point is that the business owner/developer should decide when to migrate to a different API or if it even makes sense for them to even migrate, not Google. The lock in was a bad idea in the first place. I may exaggerate but what&#

yeah, and we should all be happy when we are forced to migrate to new APIs...like the old APIs got rust. This's one of the reasons why proprietary "cloud" services are so bad. Once they are gone you have little or no choice.

I still believe you should be able to send files through email. Why should I setup a git server( static ip + domain name) to share a piece of code? What's next? "Modern tooling" like Google Docs instead of local apps?

I wonder why would someone buy an I3 instead of a Model 3? Model 3 seems to win on all fronts: looks, performance and value for money/price. Is i3 really just a POC for BMW?

The government could change the economics with a tax on cooling down the servers with water so I believe the morality can beat pure economics.
