It's not only about the connectors. With ethernet(avb or dante) you get networking audio(ip based) and time sync over long cables. This is not really possible with USB, jacks, firewire etc. A single ethernet connector may have hundred

A military alliance (such NATO) alone cannot prevent war between its members. The recent events(Trump threating to pull U.S. support or Turkey's behaviour) proves how fragile a such alliance is. I wouldn't be surprised to see Turk

Well, you didn't see a war between Germany and England though... Bosnia, Iraq etc were not part of the EU. The point was to create a closely integrated Europe so that war would become unthinkable just like a war between England and Sco

In practice the author rarely changes the import domain/url so it's not really an nuisance. There are tools to fix imports if the unlikely case actually happens. I value the fact that I don't need config files to make it work

You should use a vanity name such rsc.io/pdf which provides some meta data where the code is and how to fetch it. I personally like the import syntax. More about this here https://golang.org/doc/go1.4#canonicalimpo

Go is more about pragmatism. If you need to deliver a web API today it is definitely a better choice than Rust and many other languages. Tools such Godoc encourages you to dive into the source code, something that is missing on many languag

I know ...but when? 2030? There is no timeline. My point is that GC and DOM should have been part of the MVP if it were to gain any traction as the assembly of the web. Otherwise it remains an experiment/niche like Asm.js, PNaCI etc.

The JS devs don't really need wasm. JS works just fine in browser. I find the use cases mentioned (js app + high performance wasm modules) limited to a very small niche. WASM is supposed to be a target language. Are they trying to con
