I don't know why they wouldn't have done it the other way round. Make Lore the one who couldn't use contractions (a fatal flaw!) which removes the dialog constraint on Data for the rest of the series.

What are the best metal construction laptops to run Linux on? I really prefer Apple's unibody hardware to any plastic shell laptops I've seen. I'm especially partial to MacOS, but honestly they're great machines.

Turns out, the Faulkner Editor is MUCH harder to implement well. And for most most practical purposes, the distinction between writing in the style of Hemingway, and talking like a robot, is ignorable.
